Needs Assessment

email print PDF

The upstate school districts of Cherokee, Spartanburg, and Union Counties contracted with the Upstate Regional Center for Educational Support to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment, for the five-year period 2004-2009. The results of this assessment can provide a foundation for change in schools to help bridge the gap between work and school. Economic development in the upstate of South Carolina is dependent on a quality educational system. The needs assessment process began in September 2003 and concluded in May 2004.

The Needs Assessment is now available in PDF format only.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher to view the files, which is available free at www.adobe.com/reader.

We have completed work on the documents for the individual districts and career centers.  These  will not posted on our website, but they are available to district personnel on request.  To request your district's Needs Assessment, you may contact the Regional Career Specialist.
